you the current dates, or click on the link on our friends page). *Dartmouth
Easter Egg Hunt- guess when! Follow the trail and see if you can catch
the clues! Hunt the eggs around the Foss Street area shops and galleries!!*Dart
Music Festival- every May we have this fab 3 day event, artistes perform
on every corner, in every pub, restaurant, hotel, in the church, at
the Flavel centre and of course in the bandstand in the park. Almost
all performances are free of charge as the festival is kept going by
donations and business sponsorship. There is a real town pride in this
event which includes music as diverse as jazz to rock to classical
to shanties to folk to R&B to soul. You name it we’ve
got it!! Donations gratefully appreciated!*Dartmouth
Royal Regatta- the Summer holiday season ends with a BANG!!! Boat- racing,
funfairs, the (very dashing) Red Arrows, Helicopters, visiting Battleships,
Battle of Britain Flight Display, steam engines, mayhem, madness and a whole
load of fireworks!! Also the very wonderful Spot the
Oddity Competition (no
quips please from you folk who know us lot in Dartmouth!!)-every shop window
has something hidden that shouldn’t be there (I have never
managed to spot all the oddities! Even owning one of the shops doesn’t
get you on the inside!! )…the chance to win big! Book accommodation
early, Regatta is manic!*Dartmouth Food Festival- our newest festival.
A chance to get top tips from top local chefs and gorge yourself on the
finest Devon specialist and organic foods (this part of the world is big
on top quality local produce…there isn’t a thing you can teach
the people down here about good food!)*Dartmouth Monkey
Town Regatta- This
has to be seen to be believed! What us locals get up to when we need a bit
if a laugh!*Dartmouth Shakespeare Week- performed al fresco
at Dartmouth Castle, (bring a jacket!) with the River Dart or Gallant’s Bower as
backdrop. Each year a different performance starring and produced by local
talent (and those sensible folk who work in the industry, but escaped here!).
Why not take a river taxi from town to the castle…arrive in style?!*Brittania
Proms Weekend- Our Marine Band at its finest, booking is essential. Performed
at Brittania Royal Naval College with probably the best band in the world
(ok I’m biased!) And do
those boys like fireworks or what!!*Kingswear Santa

nephew love this!! Steam train runs from Paignton to Kingswear, Santa all
the way for kids and big kids…..and a prezzie at the end! Brings a
tear to the eye every time!! Book early, this is a big local secret , but
